Are there any lock-in contracts?
That’s one of the great things about The Contented Chef – there are absolutely no lock-in contracts or joining fees. You simply order meals when you like and stop when you like!
Are my credit card details safe?
Absolutely. To protect you we use a secure payment gateway and we do not keep your credit card details.
Can I pay the delivery driver?
Yes you can, if you have made prior arrangements with us. Our delivery drivers can accept a card payment via EFTPOS, cash or cheques.
How do I pay for my meals?
The best way to pay for your Contented Chef order is by credit card. You can do this online using Visa and Mastercard.
What do I do if I’m not happy with my meal?
If you are not 100% satisfied with your meal, please let us know within seven days of your order and we will happily give you a full refund or replacement.
Do you deliver on public holidays?
No. If your delivery day is a public holiday, we will contact you to make alternative arrangements.

What if I’m not home to receive my delivery?
All Contented Chef meals are delivered frozen and require prompt storage in your freezer. If you are unable to be at home at the time of delivery, we will need to make alternative arrangements with you, from the following two options:
- Request that the order is delivered to your home in a freezer box. Please note that a $10 surcharge will be incurred for the freezer box.
- Leave your order in another agreed location.
When will my meals arrive?
Meals are delivered between 8am and 5pm on your scheduled delivery day. You will need to place your order by 2pm the day prior to ensure you receive it on the scheduled delivery day. Our delivery schedule is:

Can I make a meal suggestion?
Yes – we’d love to hear your ideas! Once we know there’s significant interest, we will consider adding it to our range. Please phone or email us with your suggestions.
Do you offer texture modification food?
Yes, we have both 'Texture B' (minced moist) as well as 'Texture C' (smooth puree, modified for visual appeal). To see the range, please visit the Our Food section and click on Texture Modification.
Will I have to cook any of the meals?
No – we do the cooking so you can enjoy! Your meals are prepared fresh, then snap frozen and delivered right to your door. All you have to do is reheat in your oven or microwave (following the heating directions listed on the package).
Are the meals portion controlled?
Our meals are designed in consultation with a dietician who advises on the appropriate portions for each component of the meal. When you visit the Our Food section and click on an individual meal, you will be provided with a full nutritional breakdown.
Do you cater to food allergies or special dietary requirements?
Yes, we have vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free and texture modified options. When you visit the Our Food section and click on an individual meal, you will be provided with full nutritional and allergen information.
